About
My professional art practice essentially began after I finished my course in Applied Arts in 1996, but I firmly believe that it had well taken root in my childhood.
From a young age, nature has been my classroom & muse.
Added to that, my passion for music, theatre & gastronomy have seeded my identity as an artist, an ecophile, & naturalist.
My art practice explores the relationship between Socio economic & cultural practices & deals with the issues of complex social stigmas & realities in the present times. Through my art form, I try to explore different genres & mediums & to move beyond traditional, modern/ postmodern interpretations of disciplines to an era of collaboration between representation & abstraction.
Over time my practice has evolved towards sustainability & consciousness to address ethics & nature conservation.
Artists Van Gogh, Anselm Kiefer, M F Hussain, India Flint, Jayshree Chakraborty & Nils Udo to name a few, have been key influences in my art practice.
